Protocol for all GF Modules |

As you probably have been
informed for the last few months, GyrFalcon is an
innovative concept which changes the way to design
audio players. Indeed, all our audio modules
(CD-Pro2LF, GyrFalcon 6 and GyrFalcon 8) make use of
the well known DSA Interface.
Developed
15 years ago, the DSA protocol is a communication
process used between the servo/decoding section and
the user interface section of a player. It means
that you can easily connect any GyrFalcon modules to
any of your displays/user sections or use one of our
standard display kits. Since the communication
protocol is similar with all GyrFalcon modules, you can easily switch from one of
our modules to another module depending on the
applications (CD, SACD) you want to develop.
Why is DSA protocol the best
way to control my application ?
To evaluate and test our products, DAISy is glad to
offer a DSA Evaluation Board. This tool can
be directly connected to a PC via a USB interface, and
allows audio manufacturers to evaluate
our modules and to consequently reduce time to
market for the introduction of their high-end
players.
Together with the DSA board, the GyrFalcon DSA
Interface Manager is a software which can
simulate all the keys functions of a
player and show all information in a VFD-like
display, thanks to a friendly PC interface (picture below). All the main commands from
various applications are available with a virtual
keyboard so that you can quickly realize the high
quality behavior of our products. The GyrFalcon DSA
Interface Manager also includes Spy and Maintenance
modes which will make easier the design and
technical support of your products.
In short, the DSA board with the GyrFalcon DSA Interface
Manager facilitates the entire development of your
application from design
conception through hardware implementation with all
our audio modules based on the DSA communication
protocol.
