The VAM1250 mechanism is the result
of many years of experience in the optical audio
domain. Hence, excellent optical reading
performances, low playback noise and long life
expectancy.
The optical characteristics have indeed been
improved in order to provide a clear HF signal to
the decoder, and consequently a better playability
for the end-product.
For instance, a pre-amplifier has been added in the
optical unit to give a higher signal-to-noise ratio.
Besides, this amplifier section is shielded to
guarantee an excellent electromagnetic robustness
(EMC).
The VAM1250 mechanism is also prepared for reading
CD-DA, CD-R and CD-RW discs. The laser signal is
indeed adjusted according to the type of layer on
the disc.
As a result, the VAM1250 mechanism is intended for point of sales
equipment companies, studio-broadcast laboratories
and high-end audio manufacturers with serious
knowledge in optical data conversion.
