Developed 15 years ago, the DSA protocol is a communication process used between the servo/decoding and the user interface sections of a player.
This means that you can easily connect any GyrFalcon modules to any display/user section based on the DSA protocol. Since the communication protocol is similar for all GyrFalcon modules, you can easily switch from one DSA module to another depending on the type of applications (CD, SACD) you want to develop.

Besides, DAISy now proposes a DSA Evaluation Board for all DSA-based modules. This tool can be connected to a PC through the USB port, and allows audio manufacturers to evaluate any DSA module and to consequently reduce the time-to-market period for introduction of their high-end players.

Together with the DSA board, the GyrFalcon DSA Interface Manager is a software which can send any DSA command to the module and simulate all key functions of a player thanks to integrated macro-commands.

The returned information are shown in a VFD-like display window, thanks to a friendly PC interface (picture below). The main user commands (play, pause, next, ...) are available from a virtual keyboard so that you can quickly realize the high quality behavior of our products. The GyrFalcon DSA Interface Manager also includes Spy and Maintenance modes which will make easier the design and technical support of your products.

In short, the DSA board together with the GyrFalcon DSA Interface Manager will facilitate the entire development of your application from design conception to hardware implementation, with all our audio modules based on the DSA communication protocol.
