For
more than a decade, a top-loading CD player has
always been synonymous of prestige for audiophiles.
Compared to a conventional drawer from a
front-loading player, the perception of a top-
loading player is ergonomically elegant for music
lovers, as the source is the master piece of their
equipment, and we consequently supply top-loading
modules and mechanisms for high-manufacturers to
help them in the design of their top loading
application since 1994.
By the past, manufacturers did not have any other
options than to develop a mechanism for their top-
loading players by themselves: they needed to
develop the servo-decoding section, which means
there was
a lot of work
to
do both in hardware and software
in
order to control the optical
pick-up unit: we still offer this kind of solution
with the VAM 1223 dedicated to top-loading
applications. On the other hand, DAISy was the first
OEM supplier to offer a complete top-loading CD
module as we quickly understand this problematic
back in the early 1990’s. Nowadays, the last
version of this module as known as the CD-Pro2 LF is
unanimously recognized as the best top-loading
module of the world by the most prestigious
companies.
