The
VAM1254/21
is a modular CD-mechanism, using a 2-stage
radial servo, 3-spot laser system. It contains
the following parts :

a die-cast metal
frame
|
|
an advanced
sledge guidance system with 2 shafts and slide
plate
|
|
an optical pick-up
unit (OPU) with holographic light-path including
the focus and radial actuators
|
|
the
flex foil with the laser supply and the diode
pre-amplifiers, both integrated into one IC
|
|
the
flex foil including home switch, for connecting
the motors
|
|
the disc motor : a
DC-motor with a turntable prepared for magnetic
clamping
|
|
the
DC sledge motor with gearwheel transmission
|
|
|
|
The
mechanism is specially designed for high
performance audio and video applications.

cope with this application range, the VAM1254/21
