As previously mentioned,
DAISy has the longest experience for the supply of
OEM modules. Indeed, we are able to offer a range of
modules for CD, SACD and Video applications
according to your technical requirements and your
budget.
Thus, it is important to note that DAISy has always been a supplier of
audio and audio-video modules because of their
higher performances compared to computer based
modules like a CD-ROM
or DVD-ROM.
Indeed, our benchmark tests from our Test and
Quality department showed higher performances from
our audio and audio-video modules regarding
playability, reliability and copy protection, and
many other critical features compared to a CD-ROM or
DVD-ROM. Indeed, a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM is definitely
not adapted to high-end purpose for various reasons:
it is a source of problems like for example noise,
radiation, or inability to read protected discs. Do

As a result, our different
modules are designed to reach the best quality which
can be expected in high-end audio and video
applications. Until
today, the modules that DAISy supplies can be
divided in three main categories: Compact Disc modules (CD), Super-Audio CD modules
(SACD) or Video modules (DVD, Blu-Ray).
For all our audio modules
(CD, SACD), the standard DSA
high level interface is available : the DSA
protocol is a communication process used between the
servo/decoding section and the user interface
section of a CD or a SACD player. The DSA interface
allows audio manufacturers to switch from one module
to another module for CD or SACD applications. The
policy of DAISy has always been to reduce the
development of their products and consequently lower
the budget of our customers.
