In order to extend the possibilities of design for
audio-video manufacturers, DAISy supplies a range of
multimedia slot-in modules that can be used as the
master piece to build your high-end CD players,
music servers, DVD players, video servers , etc….
However, it is important to note that these
multimedia modules are based on a I²C or an Atapi
interface: they are NOT based on a DSA High Level
Interface like the CD-Pro2LF, the GyrFalcon 6 or the
GyrFalcon 8. It means these multimedia slot-in
modules would require more development than our DSA
based audio modules.
This range is composed of 4 different complete
slot-in modules with different specifications
according to your different projects: the CD300R ROM-Audio and the
CD410CA Compressed Audio are
dedicated to audio-only applications, whereas the
DVD500RV and the DVD400R are suitable for audio-video
applications.
All these multimedia slot-in modules are made of an
extra slim design that will perfectly fit in the
players with high space constraints. Then, several
benchmark tests have been implemented by our Test
and Quality department to evaluate some crucial
criteria required by the High-End market like for
instance playability, disc acceptance, noise or
reliability issues: it results that the performances
of this module are simply outstanding.
To conclude, most of these modules include the
license coverage: it will allow set makers to gain
some time to in this fastidious process to get the
appropriate licenses and it will considerably reduce
the time to market period for the launching of their
players.
